voice or video transmission, turns them into data packets that move across the internet and
change back into audio at the other end. In the ever-changing business landscape, VoIP has
become an easy and affordable method for small businesses to run their phone system. What
makes it so important is that it isn’t just for voice calls, it works for SMS messaging, video, and

What is porting and how can i keep my previous business number?
You can keep your business number when you choose GenVoice. The only thing you need to do is writing a number porting application.
Porting a number is the transfer of a phone number between two telecom service providers. The process involves providing the right documentation to prove ownership of the number as well as execution of the transfer between the current provider and the new provider.
What you need to port?
Letter of Authorization (LOA) signed by the authorized user on the account.
Recent (within 30 days) copy of bill from the losing carrier with address and signature.
Why I got rejection on my number porting?
Rejections occur for a variety of reasons, such as an incorrect account number for an account, an address or zip code that doesn’t match the current carrier’s record, or a port request made by an unauthorized user on the account.
What can I do to after the porting got rejected?
In nearly all cases, rejections can be easily resolved by contacting your carrier's porting department. These rejections can be remedied by the rightful user of the phone number. However, rejections will inevitably delay the process of porting your number. Please note that, because we do not have any rights to a phone number before it is ported, we unfortunately cannot resolve rejections on your behalf. We ask that you reply with updated information within the next 5 business days after a port request has been rejected. After this time, the port may be canceled for inactivity. However, don’t worry because we can always resubmit the port request on your behalf. There will be a porting re-submission fee incurred due to the incorrect information provided by our clients.
